The Split Ball Valve is designed to be separated into two halves i.e. passive and active sections whilst maintaining the pressurised envelope. Dust covers can be fitted when not in use or security sealing blanks with a calibrated pressure gauge fitted to visually ensure seal integrity The design consists of two body halves and two ball halves and when ‘docked’ together act and perform as a standard ball valve. The Split Ball Valve when fitted to a pressurised system removes the need for two valve isolation, eliminates the possibility of cross-contamination and the need to lower the system to atmospheric condition to allow the ‘docking’ procedure to take place. . The Split Ball Valve is fitted with two wash and purge facilities as standard.
